A Montmartre House
In Montmartre there is a path named Villa Leandre. Here a great many standalone houses (something unusual in Paris) line the streets. This kind of quiet atmosphere where children play in front of their houses with no worrying about cars is really rare! Of course, the prices around here are pretty high as one might expect… But just imagining it is free, and while you’re gazing at the houses you’re likely to spot several other people doing the same thing. Ah, if you were to live here then you’d likely have passersby standing out in front of your own house from time to time… I wonder if that’s kind of depressing? (2008-05-13) |
