Arcimboldo is a famous Italian
painter from the 16th century who painted
exceedingly strange portraits by combining animals,
plants, fruit, tools, etc. Many people may be
especially familiar with his series of four
paintings, “The Four Seasons” (Winter, Spring,
Summer, Autumn), which is part of the Louvre’s
collection. Containing 100 works, this exhibition
being held at the Musée de Luxembourg will introduce
and allow you to freely enjoy the world of this
unique artist.
