Less than a 2 minute walk from Champs Elysees, standing on the corner of Rue Francois 1er and Rue Pierre Charron is the Hotel Chateau Frontenac, a beautiful Haussmann style building erected at the end of the 19th century. With a total of 104 rooms, it is a relatively large hotel that has an amazing assortment of services and facilities such as the concierge service who will answer your many questions, the free fitness room and Turkish bath, and the massage parlor (inside the Hotel Rochester less than 5 minutes way by foot, for a fee). On the other hand, it still has the feeling of one of Paris's petit hotels, so you'll kill two birds with one stone.
There are likely to be a lot of people who feel that, although the number of modern hotels in Paris continues to increase, if you’re going to go all the way to France you should stay in an elegant hotel with a European atmosphere. Chateau Frontenac is definitely the hotel for those travelers. In keeping with the name “Chateau”, the elegant and classical interior will give you the impression of staying in a castle.
The guest rooms all come with A/C, safes, a mini-bar, high-speed internet access, satellite TV, and DVD players in each room. In the bathroom you’ll find a full set of amenities, as well as bathrobes, to complete your deluxe Parisian trip.
Your Paris morning will be made even happier by the buffet style breakfast which features danishes, toast, baguettes, cereal, mueslix, scrambled eggs, bacon, smoked salmon, cheese, yogurt, fruit juice, fruit, and hot beverages.
Champs Elysees is full of shops that will make travelers happy, such as Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Tara Jarmon, Hugo Boss, Guerlain, Zara, Petit Bateau, the Monoprix supermarket, and Laduree. Furthermore, a lot of the stores stay open until midnight, making this a very convenient place to be. If you ride the Air France shuttle bus from the airport you can go straight to the Arc de Triomphe. From there, it’s only a short walk to the hotel.
A two minute walk away is the nearest station, Georges V Station, where you can travel directly to Concorde Plaza, Tuileries Gardens, the Louvre, Paris City Hall, the Mallet District, and Bastille on Metro Line 1. You can also walk to the next station, Franklin Roosevelt Station, in about 4 minutes and in addition to Line 1 you can catch Line 9 here, which gives you direct access to the shopping district, Opera Garnier, and Trocadero where you’ll get a great view of the Eiffel Tower.
