Opened in the Quartier Latin (Latin Quarter) in October of 2006, The Five Hotel is brimming with an originality unlike any other hotel you’ve ever seen. While staying at this hotel you’ll really be able to feel the owner’s sense of playfulness and detail. The "Five" in the name refers to your five senses, all of which you'll want to use in order to fully enjoy your time here.

Each guest room will give you a surprise, whether it’s from the sparkling fiber optic lighting on the walls and in the bathroom, the fringed curtains used to give the bed a canopy, or the bed that looks like it’s floating in the air. Items made by French lacquer artists give the very contemporary interiors some warmth, and help bring together the unity of the traditional and the modern.

Additionally, feel free to choose your favorite scent from the 5 complementary room fragrances provided by the long-standing aroma candle shop, Diptyque. Even the bathroom amenities are charming since they are all, shampoo, body soap, and body lotion included, made by L'Occitane, something that is quite rare. You can enjoy the buffet style breakfast, which includes Mariage Freres tea and Le Boulanger de Monge’s delicious pastries, in the colorful, underground dining area. You’ll be able to walk from the hotel to the Luxembourg Gardens, Rue Mouffetard, and the botanical gardens. You’ll also have direct access to Chatelet and Opera on the Metro’s Line 7 from the two nearest stations: Gobelins and Censier-Daubenton. There are a lot of markets and shops in the surrounding areas, so you’ll have the chance to peek into the normal lives of native Parisians. Oh, and by the way, the Sadaharu Aoki shop is next door to the hotel.
